This study of David by Beth Moore focuses on his years as God’s chosen king of Israel. You are invited to join an exciting and intimate journey getting to know King David, the man after God’s own heart. On this journey you will experience the ups and downs of the shepherd king, and you will come to know and love his God in a new way. The study demonstrates how God loved and was able to use David despite his disobedience, and it offers many lessons for those seeking to have a heart like God’s.

Conversational English/ESL

Tuesdays, 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. beginning September 2nd for the rest of the school year in room 1109

Conversational English/ESL is an intermediate level class for non–native speakers. This study features interactive Bible stories that encourage participants to learn English by studying the Bible. Conversational English helps women learn practical English they can use in everyday life situations and to better understand the surrounding culture. This class follows the Sumner County School calendar.

Isaiah Part 2- Comfort My People

What could be more important than knowing God, His will, and living in a relationship with Him? In Isaiah 40:66, the Lord told Isaiah to speak kind words to Israel. He wanted to comfort His people. After their punishment for sins there will be great restoration for them. This study will give you a taste of the world’s future. Studying the Bible inductively is the most powerful and rewarding method to personal discovery and longer retention. If you can read a newspaper, you can study the Bible inductively.

W3: Women, Worldview and the Word, A Serious Discipleship in a Secular Culture

Tuesdays, 9:30-11:30 a.m. beginning September 2nd for 12 weeks in room 3309

This is a practical Bible study designed to help women soak up the Word of God so that it saturates their lives with a solid biblical worldview. Participants will read through a daily chronological Bible, memorize scripture and journal quiet time notes, prayers and praises. In this study, participants will do character studies from the Bible and make personal applications so they can form a Christian worldview. Women, if you desire to raise your banner and be more intentional in your life, this is the study for you! You will learn to reproduce in others what you have learned from studying the Word. Your own walk with the Lord will bring new excitement to your life.
