This class is for ladies who might not be very familiar with the Bible, but have a desire to learn. We will cover the books of the Bible, an overview of history in the Bible, more about who God is, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are, the privilege we have in prayer, how to have a quiet time, how to study the Bible, symbolism in the Bible and ways to make Scripture memory easier. Homework will be necessary, but not overwhelming. Participants will need a Bible.
Men are Like Waffles – Women are Like Spaghetti: Understanding and Delighting in your Differences
Wednesdays, 9:30-11:30 a.m. beginning September 17th for 7 weeks in room 2225

This study, based on the trade book by the same title will help you use your differences to better communicate and relate as marriage partners and parents. It will help you understand how men order each element of their lives into separate boxes, while women weave details of their lives together so everything touches everything else. Each lesson will help you celebrate and manage the difference between husbands and wives.
Women’s Sorority – A Gathering of Sisters

Women’s Sorority 2008 will be refreshingly different. Join us in this unique setting designed for sisters to connect, fellowship and grow in Christ. Sessions will begin with praise and worship followed by a devotion time. Participants will divide into small groups. You can join a breakout session of your choice. There will be prayer breakout groups based on the study “The Power of a Praying Woman” by Stormie Omartian, a craft (scrapbooking) group based on a study by Lisa Whelchel – “Creating a Scrapbook Legacy of Faith,” a book club group and a Chit-Chat Bible study, abbreviated study from Priscilla Shirer’s, “Can We Talk.”
