Mature Adult Ministry sr_couple

First Baptist Church Hendersonville offers opportunities for fellowship and ministry to all Mature Adults. Great activities and wonderful Sunday School classes keep mature adults growing in their faith, building solid relationships and serving their community. Click on the links on the left for more information.

Sunday School classes for Mature Adults are offered at 8:00, 9:15 and 10:45 a.m., and 5:00 p.m. For a list of classes, please contact Mark Lewis, Minister to Adults at 615.447.1307 or email.

Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend the following activities:

Bible Study, led by Bill Hall, is held each Wednesday, January through May and September through November, from 10:30 a.m. until noon in the Weekley Building, Rooms 1101-1103.

Hooks and Needles is a group that ministers to cancer patients and the families of preemies through knitting and crocheting. This group meets on the second Tuesday of each month from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. in Rooms 3305-3307 of the Weekley Building. Busy Hands (arts and crafts group) meets the second Thursday of each month at 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. This group meets September through May in Rooms 1101-1103 of the Weekley Building. Contact Gayle Hornsby at 615.824.3190 or email for additional information.

Care and Share Baskets is a ministry that cares for homebound members and residents within area nursing homes through care baskets. This group meets on the second Thursday of each month from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. in Rooms 1101-1103 of the Weekley Building. For additional information, please contact Pat Fortner at 824.9511.

Cheermakers (card making and paper arts group) meets on the first and third Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in Room 1113 of the Weekley Building. This group meets year round and ministers to the homebound, the military serving overseas, and to those who have been ill or who have lost loved ones. This group is open to all women and during the summer months to all teens - both FBC members and non-members. For additional information, contact Vicki Romaine at 615.824.3030 or email.

Friday Night Fellowship meets the second and fourth Friday of every month at 6:00 p.m. in Room 1101-1103 of the Weekley Building. Bring your favorite games and pot luck dish. Contact the VENTURES Ministry office at 615.447.1370 for additional information.

Ambassador Choir is a ministry that provides music and devotionals to convalescent homes within the area. The Ambassador Choir meets on Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m. in Room 1101 of the Weekley Building.
